FFXIII Eidolon Design

ff_metaWas looking around for FFXIII Ultimania Omega translations and came across this bit of infomation:
...one of the artists wanted the summons to have more of a connection/meaning than just 'thing that appears and fights'. So for Lightning Odin kind of represents her image of a father figure, and for Snow the Shiva sisters are like Serah and Lightning. I don't think they mention anything for the other characters, though.
I...I don't even know what to think as far as Shiva sisters = Farron sisters, but if this idea carries over to all the characters and their respective Eidolons I wonder what they're intended to represent?

Date: 2012-07-21 02:01 am (UTC)OTOH I do wonder what Hecatoncheir is supposed to represent, if anything--its design is kinda out there. The only thing I could come up with was Oerba, with the many arms that protect Vanille representing how she felt living in the community?
...I guess I shouldn't bag on SE for lacking originality, huh. XD
